As much as we love surprises, we require appointments for Lakeview tours. We know how much first impressions play a role in your venue choice and want to have the property in tip-top shape for your viewing with us. You can click (here) to book your tour!

Rest assured, we have built in Plan B’s in case of inclement weather. As much as we hope for clear skies and ideal weather on your wedding day, we recognize that is not always the case. Our ceremony and reception spaces are both indoors and climate controlled. Ideally, we like to offer cocktail hour on our patio overlooking our lake side views, but can easily bring the party inside to our reception space if needed.

2. Sign our Lakeview venue rental contract 
3. 50% of the venue rental fee is due at time of booking, with the remaining balance due 14 days prior to your event 
4. The date is officially YOURS 

Absolutely! Not only on the day of, but for the full weekend you have private access. 
Our focus in on quality over quantity offering a wedding weekend experience that gives your celebration the time and attention it deserves. Additionally, if you opt to not use our on-site lodging, no one from the public will be utilizing our lodging facilities during your rental with us. 

275 or less is most comfortable at our facility. You bring the party, we’ll supply the rest! 

It’s simple, YOUR day YOUR way! We provide flexibility of vendor choices (with the requirement that they are licensed and insured) and the freedom to create a “true to you” experience. We have a preferred vendor list of “friendors” we know and love if needing suggestions. 

As of 2023, we offer a Lakeview shuttle service that services pick ups and drop offs for your guests in the surrounding area at your hotel(s) of choice. Our shuttle is accommodates 24 passengers , is climate controlled, and offers a comfortable ride we like to say. We want to be transparent in that we don’t offer a “party bus vibe” with our shuttle service and can recommend local providers if looking for more of that type of experience. Guests can leave vehicles at Lakeview overnight and are expected to pick them up bo later than Sunday afternoon at 3pm. 

We recommend the following lodging options for you or your guests: 
-Lakeview’s on site lake house sleeps 10 comfortably —inquire with us directly 
-Local Airbnbs or VRBOs 
-Quincy is the closest largest city, 25 miles away, with many overnight accommodation options (book our shuttle service to take you there!)

We say if your heart is set on a specific date, book at your earliest convenience as we do not hold dates without a signed contract and deposit payment. If you’re flexible on timeframe, so are we! The months we book the most far out in advance are June, September and October. 

Furry family members are allowed before or after the ceremony for pictures (with pre- approval by Lakeview.) We do not allow animals in our buildings and they must kept on a leash and under supervision at all times. 

Yes, both of our facilities are ADA compliant. We ask if you do have handicapped guests to let us know in advance to ensure we have comfortable seating arrangements and escort accommodations for them. Our chapel has a circle drive entrance drop off and our reception venue has a carport drop off area. Our parking lot is gravel.
